A Heritage Toronto “Double-Hitter"–Two heritage events in one afternoon.
Starting at 2:00 pm gather in front of the Sculptures Cabin to celebrate the installation of Guild Park’s first official heritage plaque! The Heritage Toronto plaque, installed during the pandemic, commemorate the Guild of All Arts and its founders, Rosa and Spencer Clark. This year marks the 90th anniversary of the Guild of All Arts which began as Canada’s first artists’ community and our first opportunity to gather in person at the site of the plaque.
Immediately after the celebration, Heritage Toronto (HT) leads a new walking tour entitled, Lost Toronto. Pre-registration for this tour with Heritage Toronto is mandatory. The tour includes new research by Heritage Toronto's emerging historian. You’ll learn about the artists, architects and advocates behind many of Toronto’s old buildings whose features were salvaged and are displayed today at Guild Park.
