Friends of Guild Park & Gardens is proud to be part of the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. Every year, tens of thousands of Canadians take action against shoreline litter by participating in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, an event jointly led by the Vancouver Aquarium and WWF.

Since 2003, over 400,000 participants from coast to coast have removed nearly one million kilos of garbage from our shorelines.

By participating in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, you can actually see the impact you’ve had over the course of a single day. We invite our members and supporters to help collect debris and garbage from the lakeshore area below Guild Park.

Register for this cleanup and show your support for Canadian Waterfront and wildlife.  registration forms will be available on Sept 16 at the site too.

All participants under the age of 18 must attend with a parent/guardian.

All participants under the age of 19 must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver.

We meet in the Galloway parking lot at 9 am.

The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is one of the largest direct action conservation programs in Canada. A joint conservation initiative of the Vancouver Aquarium and WWF, the Shoreline Cleanup is about removing shoreline litter to help create healthy waters for everyone, including the wildlife and communities that depend on them.

Dress for the weather, bring gloves and sturdy footwear.  Bags will be provided.
